Position: Manager Techno Commercial
Experience: 08-10 years in Infra Industry
Qualification: BE/B.Tech-Civil + MBA- Finance / Operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Contractor Identification & Evaluation • Identify and pre-qualify potential contractors for various construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects. • Assess contractors' technical capabilities, experience, financial stability, and past project performance. • Maintain a comprehensive database of reliable contractors and vendors.
2. Rate Analysis & Budget Preparation • Conduct detailed rate analysis based on project specifications, material costs, labor requirements, and market conditions. • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial models for project tenders and internal decisionmaking. • Ensure adherence to project budgets by closely monitoring cost variations and optimizing resources.
3. Contractor Finalization • Evaluate proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts with contractors and vendors. • Ensure contracts comply with technical and commercial requirements, legal guidelines, and organizational policies. • Collaborate with legal and finance teams for contract drafting and execution.
4. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams • Work closely with design, procurement, and execution teams to align contractor performance with project requirements. • Provide technical and commercial inputs during project planning and execution phases.
5. Risk Management • Identify potential risks associated with contractor performance and financial exposure. • Implement strategies to mitigate risks, such as performance guarantees and insurance coverages.
6. Compliance & Documentation • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards in contractor engagement. • Maintain accurate documentation of rate analyses, contractor evaluations, and finalized agreements.
7. Continuous Improvement • Monitor contractor performance during project execution and provide feedback for improvement. • Develop strategies for cost reduction, quality improvement, and timeline adherence.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and negotiation skills. • Proficiency in rate analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling. • Deep understanding of construction materials, techniques, and market trends. • Familiarity with contract laws and government tendering processes. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP systems.
Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MBA in Finance/Operations is a plus).
Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a techno-commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sector
